What is Know Your Customer (KYC)?
At Card Depot, we aim to align ourselves with the best regulatory practices in the industry. In order to reduce fraud and prevent crimes we require that all customers complete a KYC process. This ensures that the payment information you are using truly belongs to you, prevents ill intentioned people from using your identity, and ensures compliance with regulators. Completing your KYC is quick and simple. You just need to upload a proof of identity and snap a picture of yourself and you’re done! Please note that we do not store or share any of your information and it is securely transferred with full ISO-27001 information security management system certification. Information processing is 100% compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and all other latest data protection laws.
How long does KYC take?
The KYC process takes roughly 1 to 5 minutes and is only required to be completed once. Once submitted, the approval will either be instant or will go into manual review which can take 5 to 10 minutes. Once approved, you first order will be delivered to your account (and you will receive an email confirmation). If your KYC is denied, your order will be cancelled and a refund processed. How many gift cards am I allowed to buy at a time?
We don’t have a limit as to how much can be bought, but if you want to buy more than $1500 of one brand, please reach out to us directly.
How will the gift cards be delivered to me?
The majority of our cards are electronic and will be delivered directly to your Card Depot account. They can take up to 24 hours.
Physical cards will be shipped via USPS. In the case of a physical card, please allow 3-14 days for delivery.
How are you able to sell gift cards at a discounted price?
Have you ever been given a gift card to a store you never go to, and it just sits unused in your wallet? Many people sell off these unwanted gift cards at less than face value, and we pass on much of these savings to you!
Do you sell gift cards outside the United States?
No, Card Depot only sells within the United States using USD.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept debit cards and major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
There are many places online that sell gift cards. How is your company different?
The internet is full of fraudulent activity, which is why you should be careful who you purchase from. You might end up being scammed by someone who sells a card to you and then, instead of sending you the card, will spend it themselves. Or they will purchase the cards with stolen credit cards and then sell them to you, and once the fraud is discovered and the balance is wiped, you’re out of luck.
When you buy from our platform rather than an individual seller, you can be assured that we screen sellers very carefully and protect you with our 45-day buyer protection guarantee.
Can you tell me about the 45-day guarantee?
If you have any issues with your card, you can report it to us within 45 days, and once the discrepancy is confirmed, we will issue a refund.
Why do some cards have uneven balance amounts?
The balance may be uneven if the seller has used some of the balance on the card before listing it for sale through our platform.
Do you accept returns?
Except in the case of a balance discrepancy, as described above in our 45-day guarantee, all sales are final.
Do you ever require additional verification?
Sometimes. If we need additional information from you, we will reach out to you. Your orders cannot be processed until the verification is complete.
Do gift cards expire?
No, all the gift cards we sell will never expire.
Are there any other steps I can take to protect my cards?
We recommend that you use the cards within the 45-day guarantee period so we can resolve any discrepancies. We also recommend checking the card balance each time before going to the store.

Yes, due to processing fees that we must pay, we require that a minimum of $15 be spent on a purchase
